In Loving Memory of Steven Hawrylyshyn

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Steven Hawrylyshyn, who left this world on July 15, 2026 at the age of 47.

Steve was born on January 2, 1979, and lived a life defined by courage, compassion, and unwavering love for humanity. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to his family, his community, and anyone in need. As a jack of all trades including EMT-B, a welder, and a firefighter, which he loved doing. Steve answered the call to serve countless times, putting others before himself and helping save so many lives. His selflessness, strength, and dedication left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Above all else, Steve was a devoted father and grandfather. His legacy continues on through his three beautiful angels, as he lovingly called them. Megan Buechling (Alex), Autumn Hawrylyshyn (Jason), and Victoria Hawrylyshyn. As well as Lucas & Jonah Buechling his handsome grandsons who he was very proud of. Siblings and cousins who looked out for him and created special bonds. While their hearts are broken by his absence, they find comfort in knowing that he is now their angel, watching over them every day. His love for his children and grandsons was immeasurable.

Everything he did was done through the goodness of his heart for his children and grandchildren.

Steve found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved lighting up the sky with fireworks (As he would have said, “let’s blow some sh*t up”), bringing smiles to everyone who gathered to watch. Whether surrounded by family, friends, or neighbors, Steve had a way of making everyone feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.

Though words cannot ease the pain of this tremendous loss, we take comfort in knowing that Steven’s light continues to shine in the hearts of all who loved him. His courage, laughter, selfless spirit, and unconditional love will never be forgotten.
