Stephen M. Tylatnyk, aged 54, a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, peacefully passed away on July 13, 2024. Born on February 28, 1970, to the late Joseph and Helen (Howard) Tylatnyk, Stephen was a beacon of light to everyone he encountered. His gentle nature and friendly disposition were as constant as his love for the city where he was both born and passed away.

Stephen grew up in a bustling household, the beloved brother to Patricia, Sharon, Harry, Margaret,  Alexander, John, James, Freda, Lillian and Joseph. The strong bonds of family shaped his character, instilling in him the values of kindness, generosity, and friendliness that he carried throughout his life. He was a person who naturally drew others to him, creating a circle of friendship that extended far beyond his immediate family.

An avid fisherman, Stephen found solace and joy in the quietude of nature. He cherished the hours spent by the water, patiently waiting for the catch of the day. His love for the simple pleasures in life was also evident in his fondness for old movies, which he could watch and rewatch with an unwavering sense of wonder and nostalgia. Stephen's playful spirit came alive in the world of video games, where he spent many an hour in good-humored competition with friends and family.

Stephen's companions were not only of the human kind; he had an enduring affection for his beloved pets, his turtle, Picasso and his cat, Wiggy, who were his constant and faithful companions.
