Jeffrey Allen Sweed, 68, of Cochranville, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on the 6th of March 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side.

Jeffrey was born on February 5th, 1956, to James and Miriam Sweed in Chester County Pennsylvania. He was one of 10 siblings including James Sweed, Jody Sweed, Richard Sweed, Jennie Short, Brenda Glauner, Johnny Sweed, Al Sweed, Lisa Tronco, and Joy Wentzel.

Jeff was blessed with 2 daughters, Mary Sweed and Kerri Sweed prior to meeting his wife, Barbara. Jeff and Barbara met in Honeybrook in 1984. When they married in 1986, he became a stepfather to the late Brandy Vega and they later had a son together, Nicolas Adams. Jeff and Barbara were happily married for 38 years.

In his off time, Jeff enjoyed both fishing, gardening, and hunting. He was known for having a green thumb and his ability to grow an amazing garden.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father James Sweed; his mother Miriam Sweed; siblings Johnny Sweed, Al Sweed, Lisa Tronco, and Joy Wentzel; brothers-in-law Horace Adams, Edward Adams, and Wesley Adams; sister-in-law Linda Finnefrock; stepdaughter Brandy Vega; and grandson Luis Ortiz III and Nicholas Jacob Adams, Jr.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Sweed; siblings James Sweed, Jody Sweed, Richard Sweed, Jennie Short, and Brenda Glauner; brothers-in-law William Adams and Mike Adams; sisters-in-law Diane Stratman, Betty Stratman, and Sandra Chambers; daughters Mary Sweed and Kerri Sweed; son Nicolas Adams; grandchildren Jacob Sweed, Brittney Oritz, Anthony Ortiz, Corron Hovington, Syrron Hovington, Brittany Davidson, Joseph Davidson, Samuel Vega, and Lillyanna Vega, Aubrey Marie and Jonathan Tyler, Mikey Tyler; and great grandchildren Ahrianna Campbell, Molly Ortiz-Hart, Scarlett Aurora Starzinski, Oliver Davidson, and Riley Davidson.

The family is currently making plans for a celebration of life. Further details will be shared soon.
